SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR ACCESS TO COLLEGES

MAXIMIZING THE CHANCES OF GOING FURTHER

MAXIMISER LES CHANCES D’ALLER PLUS LOIN

In order to promote access for students from the Southern Regions to Colleges, the Phosboucraa Foundation launched a support and orientation program in April 2022. This project aims to bring the higher education provision closer to these regions, in particular by facilitating access to the prestigious Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). The Foundation aims, through a series of initiatives, to open new opportunities for students from Southern Regions, thus offering them the possibility of accessing academic careers of excellence.

This program aligns its ambition with the principles of socio-economic development. It aims to promote equal opportunities by offering students from Southern Regions access to Colleges, thus allowing them to benefit from quality education and contribute to the development of their community. Thus, this edition saw the participation of more than 250 students enrolled in the second year of baccalaureate in Laayoune, Tarfaya and Boujdour during the open day organized at the ASARI Research Institute.

In partnership with UM6P, the Phosboucraa Foundation also actively participated in the Regional Orientation Forum organized by the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Laayoune. This event allowed visitors to discover the academic offerings of UM6P while benefiting from personal development workshops and information on health professions. During this initiative, which brought together more than 1,500 participants, the Phosboucraa Foundation was able to present the opportunities offered to students from Southern Regions and answer their questions.

Contribute to shaping a better future for young people in the Southern Regions

By raising awareness among high school students in the city of Laayoune of the importance of preparing for their post-baccalaureate career, the Phosboucraa Foundation announced to them the launch of a specific support program for the UM6P health center competition. In addition, a registration support unit has been provided to them within Laayoune learning center. This support program, which extended over a week, was granted to 40 high school graduates from Laayoune region, offering them coaching and revision sessions to prepare for the entrance exam.

By promoting access to Colleges, this project contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing students from Southern Regions superior educational opportunities. Furthermore, by strengthening territorial equity and reducing social inequalities, this project is aligned with Objective 10 (Reducing inequalities).
