NEW SEAWATER DESALINATION TECHNOLOGY
AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO MEET THE CHALLENGE OF WATER STRESS

Faced with the growing challenge of water stress in the Southern Regions of Morocco, Phosboucraa Foundation supports UM6P-ASARI mobilized to develop revolutionary seawater desalination technology. This ambitious project aims to rethink traditional approaches to desalination by integrating scientific and technological innovations. With a focus on energy optimization, this new technology promises to provide a sustainable and efficient solution to ensure that local communities have access to reliable quality water.
A proactive and collaborative approach to pushing the limits of existing technology
From a perspective of innovation, the Phosboucraa Foundation has encouraged actions that are part of an in-depth research and development approach. Thanks to the dedicated support of experts from UM6P, and particularly from ASARI, and by taking advantage of multidisciplinary skills, new technological paths have been explored to improve the energy efficiency of desalination. Feasibility studies, research into innovative materials and advanced simulations are carried out to design a revolutionary prototype. This proactive and collaborative approach ensures that the project pushes the limits of existing technology and paves the way for significant advancements.
Thanks to scientific and technological advances, the research team
aims to significantly reduce the energy consumption associated with the desalination process, while maintaining high performance standards.
Impact
The adoption of this innovative desalination technology will have a major impact on the environment and local communities. By reducing energy consumption, it will help preserve natural resources, thus reducing the ecological footprint associated with desalination. In addition, by ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply, it will promote the economic and social development of the region, and support agriculture, industry and domestic drinking water needs. This innovative solution will address the challenge of water stress in an efficient, responsible and sustainable manner, providing a promising vision for the future of the region.
