
Digital. « Our Foundation is convinced that digital inclusion is an important development lever for socio economic integration and improvement of digital attractiveness in the Southern regions » declared Mrs Hajbouha Zoubeir from Phosboucraa Foundation during the signing, on Wednesday October 25th at Casablanca, of the convention of partnership with Microsoft Morocco. Objectif: implement « digital inclusion » program to boost the employability of youth, support startups and projects holders, as well as NGOs.
Objective: to roll out the "Digital Inclusion" Program to boost young people employability through digital careers, to support startups and project leaders and to strengthen tdigital capabilities of non-profit organizations.
Four programs, thousands of beneficiaries...
The roadmap for this new partnership revolves around four programs over a three-year period. The "IT Skills Course" which will enable nearly 4000 young people from Laayoune and Dakhla regions to master IT technologies and improve their employability. The "Start UP Accelerator" program, which aims to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among young people and boost tech project ideas while strengthening their digital capabilities. In total, it will involve a hundred start-ups. The "IT for NGOs" program dedicated to 120 associations from Laayoune Sakia-El Hamra and Dakhla Oued Eddahab regions, which aims at using IT tools and solutions for better efficiency in their operations. Finally, the program "Coding for young people" which aims to introduce computer programming to 9000 students in public schools over the southern regions.
Strongly convinced in the importance of digital transformation in the socio-economic development of southern regions, Phosboucraa Foundation had previously teamed up with Microsoft back in 2015. In April 2015, 5,000 young people trained in ICT and productivity tools and 25,000 (MOS & MCP) Certificates were delivered.
