In these times of COVID-19 pandemic, our responsibility is to continue to support our communities and positively impact their lives. Our employees, working from home, are mobilized to ensure the continuity of our services. By using all our resources, by innovating, by working hand in hand with all our OCP Group colleagues, and in particular Act4Community Phosboucraa teams, the Phosboucraa Foundation is doing everything possible to support its communities whether through launching distant learning program, promoting digital trainings or developing Covid-19 prevention content.
Education : Our resources to support education continuity
As soon as the lockdown has been declared in March 2020, Phosboucraa Foundation, in collaboration with Act4Community Phosboucraa teams, endeavored to ensure education continuity within the national framework to maintain learning from home. As such, our team made available, to the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Education, a studio within its Learning Center in Laayoune to record distance.
Training : Continuity of learning for our beneficiaries with "L’formation MenDarek"
As of March 20, all the beneficiaries of our Learning Centers in Laayoune and Dakhla were able to access their training courses, from home, thanks to the rapid deployment of a distance learning platform "L’Formation MenDarek". The learning centers have even provided tablets and internet connection modems to ensure the platform is accessible to all. Designed as an alternative to face-to-face courses, "L’Formation MenDarek” offers a range of modules identical to what is offered face-to-face in the centers, in various and interactive formats: written courses, videos, interactive exercises, and even up to 7 seminars and simultaneous live lessons. The progress of each beneficiary is ensured by an educational team permanently mobilized to support and evaluate them at different stages of their journey. Considered as innovative, this initiative has been listed, by the press, among the top 10 initiatives supporting education continuity at the national level since the start of the Pandemic. Awareness : The Hassani language to raise COVID-19 awareness among local communities
Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been working to make information and prevention measures against the corona virus available to our communities in the local language. We have produced a series of awareness videos in the Hassani language to explain to our communities the importance of staying at home and the barrier gestures to be respected. And because the well-being of our community also matters, we have also launched videos animated by a sports and motivational coach.
